How to Edit a Post
March 15, 2008 by amathew and | Filed under: HELP
a. Navigating to WordPress
Go to www.environmentalmanager.org; find the “login” link at the top right of the page, and login using your user name and password.
After logging in, you will be returned to the http://www.environmentalmanager.org home page (only now you will be signed in); once there, click on the “my profile” link at the top right of the page (next to the “login” link). The “my profile” link will bring you to the WordPress application for www.environmentalmanager.org.
This will allow you to write new posts or edit existing posts.
(Note: Clicking on “my profile” again will now take you to your profile page.)
b. Editing Contents for an existing post
Once you are in WordPress, click on the tab “Manage”, on the top of the page; this will show you a list of existing posts.
Use the available dropdown boxes for filtering the articles and hit the “Filter” button to get your post of interest. Alternatively you can also get to your post by entering keywords in the “Search terms” textbox and hitting the Enter key.
Please note that you will only be allowed to edit / delete the posts that you have created. If you have the required privileges to edit or delete a post you will see the “edit” and “delete” links next to the “view” link on the right side in the row where the article is listed. You can delete the post by clicking on the “delete” link.
To edit a post, click on the “edit” link and you will reach a web page almost identical to writing a post. The only differences are that you will be working under the “Manage” tab instead of the “Write” tab and there will be a “Delete this post” button at the lower end to delete the post. The instructions to “Choosing Categories”, “Setting Post Authorizations”, “Attaching documents from your computer to your Post”, “Referring to documents that already exist in the website to your Post” and “Saving and Publishing” for editing a post are similar to those in How to Write a Post, keeping the above differences in mind.

Hmm … even this happens.
